If you haven't heard all about our PAT program, you will this year as we are looking to tremendously increase our services to families. Check out the questions and answers below to learn about PAT!

Who can participate in PAT?
All families with children ages prenatal to not yet in Kindergarten are invited to join Parents as Teachers.

How much does it cost?
PAT is FREE!

What are the benefits of PAT?
Playdates provide an opportunity to meet other families while participating in a fun activity with your child. Family visits allow you to collaborate with a PAT educator who focuses on your child's needs. Free screenings provide parents with developmental details to help support their child.

What do the PAT Educators do?
Archie’s PAT educators are always working to help the children and families of Archie! Building relationships, sharing developmental information and finding resources for the families is a priority.

How often and where do we meet for PAT?
Families are in control of the frequency of visits and what group events you attend. Monthly visits work for some, while others prefer bi-monthly or quarterly visits. Some families choose to participate in developmental screenings and group events. Visits can be held in the home or at the school. Playdates and family nights are held at school or in town.

How does this affect my preschool student?
All preschool attendees are required to have at least 2 PAT visits throughout the school year. This helps us make sure each family and preschooler is prepared for kindergarten.

How do I connect and join?
There are three convenient ways to join PAT and get connected!
Join Archie Parents as Teachers on Facebook for upcoming events.
Call the school at (816)293-5312 and ask to be transferred to PAT
If you prefer email, send it to kreynolds@archie.k12.mo.us
