Each year, Archie High School teachers nominate one outstanding senior to represent our school in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Scholarship Program. This honor recognizes students who exemplify dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.
We are proud to announce that the Fall 2025 DAR Good Citizen is Abigail Sutton! Congratulations, Abigail!

Reminder to Archie Juniors & Seniors! Join us for Dozer Days, at the Truman Sports Complex on Friday, October 31st. This hands-on career fair offers students a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore fields such as heavy equipment operation, general construction, underground utilities, and more. Students will actively participate in real job site activities, including pouring concrete, cutting pipes, and even operating heavy machinery. Secure your space by turning in a permission waiver to Mrs. Mell by Tuesday, October 21st. Check your email for a waiver or stop by Academic Services.

Tonight was a big night for Archie High School Volleyball! 🏐 Both the Varsity and JV teams defeated Lakeland—great job, girls! During the match, Archie recognized Carlos Boyd and Nick Burton in honor of MSHSAA Fall Sports Officials Appreciation Week. We’re grateful for their expertise, professionalism, and dedication to the game. 👏 We also celebrated Senior Night, honoring Lizzy Thompson and Abigail Sutton. We wish these two outstanding seniors the very best in their future endeavors! ❤️ And a special congratulations to Madison Wilson, who broke the school record for assists with an incredible 614! 👊 Congratulations to all on a memorable night! #ArchieStrong 💪

Red Ribbon Week: October 21st–24th
Archie School District will celebrate with special dress-up days all week!

What is Red Ribbon Week?
Red Ribbon Week is a fun and meaningful opportunity to talk with students about making healthy, safe choices.

In the United States, the red ribbon symbolizes a commitment to living drug-free. The campaign began in memory of DEA Agent Enrique Camarena, who was tragically killed in 1985. Each year, communities across the country wear red ribbons to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and to promote prevention and healthy living.

English I and II students wrap up Quarter 1 Independent Reading by reading outside on this beautiful fall day. Students appreciate the extra reading time to really dig into their books, especially those who have just started their second (or third or fourth!) book of the school year!
