The Parents as Teachers program hosted their first Group Connection last night and it was quite a success! The staff saves boxes for this event and free play with boxes is a favorite for the littlest Whirlwinds! All families in Archie, with children not yet in school, are welcome to join the Archie Parents as Teachers program. Email kreynolds@archie.k12.mo.us for more information.
Football Game Day! The Archie Whirwlinds travel to Lockwood today for their first regular season game. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. If you plan to arrive early, the Lockwood FFA chapter is hosting a Fish Fry. See flyer for details.
The district is encouraging all parents to fill out the Application for Free or Reduced-Meals online through your Campus Parent Portal. Filling it out online helps streamline the process and saves time on the approval process.
We understand this may not be the easiest route for some parents so, attached are instructions and the application to print and fill out if necessary. Please turn it in to the main office, or send it with your student in an envelope marked "Attention Central Office.
Attention parents of Archie students: If you have not set up a Campus Portal account yet, please do so as soon as possible. It is available through the Infinite Campus site and a mobile app. This account will give you access to things like, your student's grades, attendance, lunch balance and more. You will need your specific key code to activate your account. Please request your code by emailing infinitecampus@archie.k12.mo.us You will then be sent an e-mail with instructions on how to create your Campus Parent Portal.

Wednesday, October 9, 2024: JH/JV Football @ Drexel. Full JH Game, 2 quarters of JV beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Drexel.

BAND - Tonight is Instrument Rental Night! Begins at 5:30 in the Band Rooms - Parents MUST attend for students to get an instrument. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Mills through Rooms.
Volleyball Jamboree is today, August 27, 2024. Archie will play all three of their games in the dome, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, students K-12 are free, senior citizens (60+) are also free. Students in grades 5 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Yearly sports passes will also be on sale at the gate. ($60 per individual for the school year)
Thursday, August 29, 2024 we will be having our Fall Sports and Marching Band picture day. Pictures will begin at 3 p.m., in the dome. Schedule will be as follows: Band, JH VB, JH FB, JH Cheer, HS VB, HS FB, HS Cheer.

We are currently monitoring the heat index temperatures this week. Recesses and practices are being adjusted based on danger zone readings. Coaches are communicating adjustments with players through the new Rooms app. Teachers are encouraging all students to have full water bottles. Afternoon buses will have bottles of water available.

Our little project managers are making sure the playground construction is coming along. The equipment has been put in. We will have turf in a few weeks. Until then, we wait patiently. #ArchieStrong
We had several "throwback" shirts worn to the jamboree last night. But to no one's surprise, the winner was Patrick Jurgens. Not only did Coach Jurgens win, but he took it all the way back to the beginning of the Archie High School football program with an original football jersey from 1972. Thanks to all who participated. Coach Jurgens will get a new Archie shirt to add to his collection.
