Many 10-12th grade students spent Homecoming morning learning how to be successful on the ACT. Mrs. Lile and Ms. Ford conducted a three-hour ACT workshop where students created act.org accounts, learned how to register for the test, explored the test portions, and discovered some tips, tricks, and ways to practice in order to earn the scores they need. Archie Whirlwinds now know how to beat the ACT!

In Coach Moore's 8th-grade Health class, students practiced decision-making steps from a previous lesson by playing Jenga. They played three rounds during the lesson. In the first round, they followed regular Jenga rules. The second round was timed, giving each student only 10 seconds to choose and remove a block. In the final round, a classmate selected the block that each student had to pull. Through this activity, the students discovered how added pressures, such as time constraints and peer influence, can impact their decision-making process and the outcomes of their choices. #ArchieStrong
